The entrance exam (Kankor) for spring 2019 intake was held on March 15th with the presence of Ministry of Higher Education representative and over 600 applicants and attendants.

Professor Hamid Layan, Gawharshad vice-chancellor in academic affairs, in his opening address welcomed the attendants and stated that Gawharshad has had nine rounds of graduation and been able to take effective steps towards realizing a knowledge-based society in Afghanistan.

He also added that: “Quality education is of special importance to us and has been a top priority in Gawharshad and hence, a significant number of our lecturers are master and PhD graduates of overseas universities.”

Professor Layan further maintained that, “We are very fortunate to have students from all provinces of Afghanistan and it is our high hope to see them serving their communities after their graduation.”
