Goharshad University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, organized a one-day awareness seminar on the dangers of drugs with the aim of educating the public. The seminar began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and remarks by Dr. Mohammadiounes Saadeghi in the conference hall of Goharshad University, attended by a large number of students.

Following this, the President of Goharshad University, Professor Akhlaghi, emphasized the importance of raising awareness about drug addiction. He described addiction as a global phenomenon linked to global mafia policies and highlighted its prevalence from adolescence to old age.

Subsequently, Mr. Sadigh Allah Kakar, a specialist in mental health, stressed the importance of combating addiction and the need for serious action against this destructive phenomenon. Mr. Hosseini Qureshi, General Manager of Social Workers at 450-bed center, discussed the process and progression of addiction, factors and effects on individual and social life dimensions, society's responsibility towards addiction prevention, impacts of drugs on various aspects of personal and social life, as well as addiction factors and symptoms.

The seminar concluded with a prayer by Qari Feizi and a plea to Almighty God to help combat the heinous phenomenon of addiction.
