Faculty of computer science because of the growing and importance of computer science and its commitment of providing quality education has established department of information technology with specific goals. It’s main goals of this department is to train professionals in designing, implementation and managing computer networks, dinging and implementation of web system management, design and implement and management of database system, network security and project management.

Graduates from this department by passing theoretical and practical knowledge will be ready to continue their studies in master and Ph.D. levels. Another feature of this department is; familiarity of students with hardware foundation and foundation of programing which helps them to work collectively in designing robots and information technology system with their classmates.

Graduates from Information Technology Department will have the following abilities:

• Professional ability of identifying social problems and challenges
• Professionally analyzing social problems and proposing appropriate solutions
• Ability to design, implement and evaluate computer-based systems processes and programs to meet the desired needs
• Ability to design, plan and adapt LAN networks
• Ability to plan, design and adapt WAN networks
• Ability to design, plan and implement wireless networks
• Ability to manage complex and simple computer networks
• Ability to apply principles and methods of security on computer networks
• Team management and ACT project ability

• The total number of students in this department is 240 students, which 62 are female students and the rest of the male is male.
• The total number of lecturers in this semester is 15
• The total number of student in computer is 272, which 72 are female students and the rest of them are male.

The Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering is designed at the faculty of Computer Science to educate students and engineers so that they can help to join the growing software industry in the country for enrichment and by taking different theoretical and practical in this course will have enough knowledge to continue their studies in the master’s and doctorate degrees in various fields of computer science and engineering. This field contains an appropriate combination of courses that cover both theoretical aspects of the discipline and its engineering aspects in various fields of design and production of software tools, software systems, as well as enriches analysis and implementation of the algorithm. Another feature of the field is the familiarity of its students with the foundations of computer hardware and the foundations of networks, which enable them to be used in collaborative projects such as the design of robots and real-time systems and so on with other students in a group and students will be master in tools and programming languages ​​throughout this course.

 Graduates from Software Engineering Department will   have the following abilities:

• Team management and software project management ability
