The Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering is designed at the faculty of Computer Science to educate students and engineers so that they can help to join the growing software industry in the country for enrichment and by taking different theoretical and practical in this course will have enough knowledge to continue their studies in the master’s and doctorate degrees in various fields of computer science and engineering. This field contains an appropriate combination of courses that cover both theoretical aspects of the discipline and its engineering aspects in various fields of design and production of software tools, software systems, as well as enriches analysis and implementation of the algorithm. Another feature of the field is the familiarity of its students with the foundations of computer hardware and the foundations of networks, which enable them to be used in collaborative projects such as the design of robots and real-time systems and so on with other students in a group and students will be master in tools and programming languages throughout this course.
Graduates from Software Engineering Department will have the following abilities:

- Professionally analyzing social problems and proposing appropriate solutions
- Ability to design, implement and evaluate computer-based systems processes and programs to meet the desired needs
- Ability to design, planning and implement web systems
- Ability to design, planning, implement mobile applications
- Ability to design, planning and implementation of database systems
- Ability to adapt mathematical rules, principles of algorithm and computer science theories in modeling and designing computer based systems.
- Ability to apply security principles to computer systems
- The ability to apply the principles of designing and development in the production of software systems
- Team management and software project management ability
