Faculty of computer science because of the growing and importance of computer science and its commitment of providing quality education has established department of information technology with specific goals. It’s main goals of this department is to train professionals in designing, implementation and managing computer networks, dinging and implementation of web system management, design and implement and management of database system, network security and project management.

Graduates from this department by passing theoretical and practical knowledge will be ready to continue their studies in master and Ph.D. levels. Another feature of this department is; familiarity of students with hardware foundation and foundation of programing which helps them to work collectively in designing robots and information technology system with their classmates.

Graduates from Information Technology Department will have the following abilities:

• Professionally analyzing social problems and proposing appropriate solutions
• Ability to design, implement and evaluate computer-based systems processes and programs to meet the desired needs
• Ability to design, plan and adapt LAN networks
• Ability to plan, design and adapt WAN networks
• Ability to design, plan and implement wireless networks
• Ability to manage complex and simple computer networks
• Ability to apply principles and methods of security on computer networks
• Team management and ACT project ability
